Facial Botox

Mimik çizgilerinin yumuşatılması ve daha dinlenmiş bir yüz ifadesi; doğal mimikler korunarak, kişiye özel doz ve noktalarla planlanır.

Overview

Facial botox is a procedure applied to reduce the appearance of forehead, glabellar and eye-area wrinkles caused by repeated movements of the mimic muscles, and to achieve a more rested facial expression.

Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces the movement of the muscles into which it is injected. The aim is to soften the lines that become pronounced with facial expressions and to prevent them from deepening over time. The goal is not to make the face completely immobile, but to achieve a more rested appearance while preserving natural expression.

How Is Facial Botox Performed?

Before the procedure the face is assessed both at rest and during movement. Injection points are determined by examining muscle strength and direction of movement.

A local anaesthetic cream is applied to the area and left for about 15 minutes. Botulinum toxin is then injected into the determined points with very fine needles.

The procedure is short and the person can return to daily life afterwards.

During the dermatology consultation, the areas to be treated are decided and a personalised treatment plan is created.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Facial Botox

The aim is not to immobilise the face, but to soften lines while preserving expression.

Does botox make the face expressionless?+

The aim of botox is not to make the face completely immobile. With appropriate dosing and correct injection points, natural expressions are preserved.

Do wrinkles get worse when botox wears off?+

No. As the effect wears off, muscle movement gradually returns. Stopping botox does not make wrinkles worse than before.

Can botox be applied to men?+

Yes. Facial botox can be applied to men. Since mimic muscles are often stronger in men, injection points and doses are determined according to facial and muscle structure.

Can botox be performed during pregnancy?+

Cosmetic botox is not recommended during pregnancy. As safety data on botulinum toxin use in pregnancy are limited, it is preferable to postpone the procedure until after pregnancy.

Can botox be performed while breastfeeding?+

Safety data on cosmetic botulinum toxin during breastfeeding are limited. The decision should therefore be made together with the physician after assessing the individual situation.

Is facial botox painful?+

A local anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand and injections are made with very fine needles, so usually only a brief, mild stinging is felt.

Can I return to daily life after botox?+
