Overview
Nose filler is the application of hyaluronic acid based filler to specific points of the nose in order to correct certain irregularities in nasal shape and create a more balanced nasal profile.
Also referred to as “non-surgical rhinoplasty” or “liquid rhinoplasty”, nose filler can camouflage irregularities on the nasal dorsum, refine the profile and support the nasal tip in suitable candidates.
Nose filler does not change the anatomical structure or the bone-cartilage tissue of the nose. It is therefore not an alternative to surgical rhinoplasty; it is preferred for shape and profile differences that can be corrected with filler.
Before the procedure, the nose is evaluated from the front and in profile, and the injection points and amount of filler are determined.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area and left for about 15–20 minutes. The hyaluronic acid filler is then injected into the planned points in controlled amounts.
The nose is an area that requires careful evaluation in terms of vascular anatomy. It is therefore important that the procedure is performed by a physician familiar with nasal anatomy and its vascular structures.

No. Nose filler does not reduce the bone or cartilage structure of the nose.
However, filling dorsal depressions or camouflaging the hump can make the nasal profile straighter and more balanced. In some people this can make the nose look more proportional.
If physical reduction of the nose or alteration of the bone-cartilage structure is desired, surgical rhinoplasty should be considered.

The shape created by the filler becomes visible right after the procedure. However, since mild swelling or tenderness may occur, the appearance in the first days should not be considered the final result.
As the swelling subsides and the filler settles, the result is usually assessed more clearly within about 1–2 weeks.

The longevity of hyaluronic acid nose filler is generally around 1 year. The duration may vary according to the properties of the product, the amount applied and individual characteristics.
Hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body over time and the effect of the filler diminishes.
